In the present paper, a new inorganic adsorbent on the basis of nanosized titanium dioxide coating on Tra Bac activated carbon was studied. The authors also investigated the structure, surface properties, sorption capacity and regeneration of the material. The experimental results showed that crystal- Ti(IV) compounds distribute identically on activated carbon surface. The maximun sorption capacity of the material for As3+, Mn2+ and NH4+ is 22.22 mg/g, 43.4 mg/g and 47.8 mg/g, respectively. PO4 3- anions decrease remarkably the adsorption while F- and SiO3 2- anions have little effect on that adsorption. The adsorbent can be reused by regenarating with 0.1 M NaOH solution.
