Purpose: (1) Review a number of clinical characteristics and histopathology of Krukenberg tumor metastases from gastrointestinal cancer
(2). Evaluate treatment outcomes of Krukenberg tumor. Method: from 8/2009 to 8/2012, 47 patients with randomized clinical trial, not control. Results: 57.4 percent of ovarian lesions of the two sides, tumor or 10 cm : 12.8 percent. Most of them are solid tumors and mixed tumors. Tumor have a clear cover (91.5 percent)
83 percent non-invasive surrounding tissues
54.2 percent of gastric metastases is cell rings carcinoma
40 percent of colon-rectum cancer is poorly differentiated epithelial carcinoma. The average of survival was 18.9 + or - 2.5 months. Overal survival at 1, 2 and 3 years, respectively 54 percent, 32.1 percent and 17.2 percent. A number of factors related to survival time: longer in the group of patients 50 years versus, 50 years (p = 0.074), metastasis from colorectal compared with the stomach (p = 0.05), not peritoneal metastases compared with peritoneal metastasis (p = 0.002).
