Research was carried out on wastewater from ethanol factory and field of Sao Vang Interprise of Lam Son Company in Thanh Hoa province. The wastewater was analyzed to detennine nutrient content for calculation of fertilizer substitute. Field experiment was designed with ten treatments and three replications, in which two fertilizations were implemented on four fertilizer levels in in-organic fertilizer and substituted wastewater with the same nitrogen levels. Result showed that wastwwater increase growth of sugarcane with increasing the plant high, plant diameter, sugar content and yield with the equal rate of application of in-organic fertilizer. Soil applied wasterwater was improved in soil pH and soil carbon but decreased in phosphorus and potassium. This is to recommend that wasterwater from alcohol factory can be a good liquit fertilizer to substitute in-organic fertilizer but we need to calculate carefully the nutrient content in the wasterwater to add the needed elements that can be shorten for the plant.
