Marine bacteria are extremly diverse and exhibit numerously potential applications since its high biosynthesis of hydrolytic enzymes and antimicrobial agents. The present research exploit four main bacterial groups, consisting of: (i) bacteria able to synthesize high hydrolytic enzymes (amylase, protease, cellulase...) and anti-Vibrio activities
(ii) bacteria synthesizing acid protease aimed at hydrolysis of abundant protein in shrimp processing wastes
(iii) bacteria synthesizing chitinase active to hydrolysis of raw chitin from shrimp processing wastes
(iv) bacteria synthesizing high chitosanase activities aimed at producing chitooligosaccharide from chitosan. From 30 samples of seawater, sediment, soil nearby coast which were collected from coastal areas in North and Center of Vietnam, the authors isolated 251 marine bacteria, examined the biosynthesis of enzymes, anti-Vibrio activities, classified bacteria by analyzing the sequence of 16S rDNA genes and deposited the obtained sequences in GenBank (NCBI). Experimental results revealed that major isolates belonged to genus Bacillus, some strains were members of genus Acinertobacter. Eleven strains were allocated into group (i) including 9 B. subtilis and 2 B. cereus strains
three isolates were clustered into group (ii) consisting of one B. amyloliquefaciens (Ace. No. in GenBank: HM135530) and two B. subtilis strains (HM 135529)
three bacteria belonged to group (iii) including Acinetobacter sp. (HM7762 I 5), B. cereus (HQ438588) and one B. subtilis (HQ610178)
three isolates of group (iv) consisting of B. amyloliquefaciens (HQ438589), B. cereus va B. subtilis (HQ610179). Research on applications of bacterial group (i) in treatment of shrimp cultivation ponds, group (ii) associated with Lactobacillus sp. in demjheralization and deproteinization of chitinous waste, bacterial groups (iii) and (iv) in hydrolysis of raw chitin and chitosan got preliminarily successful.
