The business simulation game (BSG) is considered one of the game-changing teaching methods in the global digital transformation era. This game has gained significant attention among Vietnam’s higher educational institutions since it delivers numerous advantages to students, namely enhancing study motivation, improving critical skills, boosting group work efficiency, etc. As a matter of fact, several universities and colleges in Vietnam have been applying it in many ways, including using it to establish a specific teaching course, integrating it as a supporting tool for certain courses, and implementing it to organize competitions for students. Nonetheless, there are challenges that universities, lecturers, and students might have to face when carrying out this teaching tool, such as the high cost of use, difficulties in comprehending the game, etc. Consequently, this research proposes some solutions to improve the effectiveness of using BSG in Vietnam.
