Teaching Visual Arts in 4th grade based on the orientation of developing students’ compe-tencies is one of the key goals in fostering the comprehensive development of students’ abilities and qualities. Through their knowledge and creativity, each student not only participates but also de-signs and organizes artistic activities independently, allowing them to explore and cultivate their aesthetic abilities. This approach enhances their creative expression, bringing out their individual uniqueness. This paper analyzes the process of designing lesson plans for 4th-grade Visual Arts un-der the competency-based approach in primary schools in Vinh City, Nghe An Province. From there, it presents effective technical solutions for designing the most appropriate and efficient lesson plans.
