The article presents the current state of managing school counseling activities for students at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long Campus (UEH - Vinh Long Campus). Through survey results, the author analyzes several aspects related to the management of school counseling activities, including: awareness of the importance of managing school counseling activities, the current status of management planning, organizational management, management direction, and evaluation of school counseling activities. The results indicate that managing school counseling activities is deemed necessary and important in the context of educational innovation
however, there are still many limitations in implementation, such as a lack of resources (specialized counseling staff and funding for implementation, absence of dedicated counseling rooms), and no templates for regular monitoring and evaluation, leading to low effectiveness. Based on these findings, the article proposes suggestions to improve quality and enhance the effectiveness of counseling activities to meet the demands of educational innovation and the long-term development of the institution.
