Objectives: Describe characteristics, treatment outcomes and related factors of patient traffic accident in Tuy Phuoc district Hospital, Binh Dinh province in 2012. The sample size comprise 749 patients with traffic accident hospitalized in Tuy Phuoc hospital, Binh Dinh province. Methodology: A cross-sectional description. Results: Male patients: 70.4 percent
Age under 16 years old: 11.8 percent, 16-45.1 percent, 31-20 percent,45-60:15.1 percent and over 8 percent. Vehicles caused the accident are cars 3.4 percent, motorcycles: 85.7 percent, and other means were low rate. Time the accidents from 612 hours was 21.5 percent, after 12-18 hours: 33.0 percent and after 18-23 hours: 43.5 percent. Polyinjuries was 36.8 percent
head, face, neck 29.1 percent, limb ijuried: 22.0 percent, brain traumatic 3.0 percent. There are 84.5 percent of patients had good clinical outcomes
0.5 percent of patients died and 17.1 percent of patients refferal to other hospital . Some of factors related to treatment outcome: patients with the first aid had good outcomes (90.8 percent) higher than without first aid (83.4 percent). The results good treatment for patients transferred by ambulances, cars was (91.5 percent) higher than by motorcycles and other vehicles (82.8 percent), the patients transferred to hospital over 1 hour after accident was (72.5 percent) lower than under 1 hour (86.4 percent and 86.3 percent).
