The purpose of the study was to describe the nutrition-related factors ofhospitalised patients in hospital among malnutrition group and wellnourished group by SGA tool. A cross sectional study conducted from February to April 2012 in 411 patients hospitalized within 48 hours in 198 hospital showed that all nutrition related indicators in malnourished patients were higher than that in well nourished patients: Percentage of unintentional weight loss 5 percent of main ourished patients was 25,4 percent, and 8 times higher than that ofwellnourished patients (3.3 percent)(p0.001). Percentage of dietary intake change of malnourished patients was 68,3 percent, and 5 times higher than that of wellnourished patients (13.1 percent) (p0.001). Percentage of reduction of functional capacity of malnourished patients was 76,8 percent, and 3 times higher than that of wellnourished patients (26.4 percent) (p0.001). Percentage of metabolic stress in malnourished patients (89 percent) was higher than that of wellnourished patients (65,0 percent) (p0.001). Percentage of gastrointestinal symptoms in malnourished patients (50,0 percent) was two times higher than that of wellnourished patients (24,5 percent) (p0.001).
