A cross sectional study was conducted among 93 HIV/AIDS deaths in the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dong Da General Hospital from January 2010 to December 2012 aimed to describe the clinical and para-clinical characteristics. The findings indicated that most of deaths had not been treated with ARV (76.3 percent), duration from hospital admission to deaths less than 3 days accounted for 47.0 percent. The most frequent clinical manifestations was loss weight (89.2 percent), anemia (80.6 percent), TCD4 cells count 100 cells/mm3 (87.9 percent). 98,9 percent of patients had opportunistic infection, among them 43.0 percent of patients had at least 2 opportunistic infections. Main causes of death were tuberculosis (32.2 percent), pneumonia (19.4 percent).
