Objectives: The aime of this study is to evaluate the results of spinal cord injury treatment. Material and method: A prospective study in 103 patients diagnosed and treated in Neurosurgery Department of Viet-Duc hospital in period from 4/2008 to 10/2008. Results: Average age is 42.34 + or - 14.87. Working accident: 48,5 percent, lower spinal cord injury: 82,5 percent. CT-scan shows bone fracture: 83,1 percent. MRI shows medullar contusion: 62 percent. Surgical treatment: 55,3 percent, medical treatment: 44,7 percent. Good outcome: 11,7 percent, moderate outcome: 80,6 percent and bad outcome: 7,7 percent. Conclusions: The outcome of spinal cord injury patients depends on the clinical features in admission and the method of treatment.
