Logistics have important role in creating competitive advantage of nations. In 1997, Vietnam had the first legal document (Commercial Law) that defined this service. World Bank ranked Vietnam 55th out of 155 economies in logistics performance indicators. However, this service has not been fully exploited by the local enterprises. In recent years, Vietnam logistics market has seen rapid growth with over 900 enterprises in the field. This paper focuses on analyzing the potentials and suggests some solutions to promoting the service in Vietnam.
