Double-blind studies have been done to control the disease on 98 children aged 2 months to 12 months old at the department voluntarily Treatment B - Children's Hospital Central, from 10/10/201128/12/2011. Sick children were divided into 2 groups. Group 1, 48 children randomly selected intervention using 30 percent glucose solution before injection, transmitted, blood test only once. Group 2, 48 children randomly selected intervention using distilled water before injection, transmitted, blood test only once. Results showed that the extent of the child's pain after the procedure and there is a problem no significant difference statistically significant between groups distilled water and 30 percent glucose solution with the "no pain or mild pain" and "pain mortar" in the procedure from 0-15s, 15-30s and 30-60s (p0.0001). Mean pain score during the procedure in distilled water group more than doubled compared with 30 percent glucose used in the procedure at the time from 0-15s, from 15-30s and 30-60s (p0.001). Point average pain after the procedure much reduced in 30 percent glucose group (p0.001). Time to cry during and after the procedure using distilled water group longer than 30 percent of glucose group (p0.001). Regarding heart rate during the procedure in distilled water group than the high frequency heart of 30 percent glucose group, after the procedure reduced in both groups but more rapid decrease in the glucose group 30 percent.
