Vietnam is one of the ten countries most affected by climate change. The main cause is the types of waste that humans release into the environment without being treated, mainly toxic organic substances that are chemically stable and difficult to biodegrade. Currently, the photocatalytic method is showing great potential in the treatment of organic waste that pollutes the environment due to its advantages. G-C3N4 is known as a semiconductor material with a narrow band gap (Eg ≈2.7 eV), has a special morphology and is highly expected in the field of hydrogen production from water splitting and the ability to photocatalyze the decomposition of toxic organic substances under the influence of sunlight. This article presents some improvement methods and results achieved in enhancing the photocatalytic ability of g-C3N4 material that have been published by scientists to help students have an overview of research methods to enhance the photocatalytic ability of g-C3N4 material.
