Today, democracy is becoming increasingly important factor in the contemporary society. Understanding the relationship between poverty and democracy is necessary to understand the positive and negative aspects of democracy. This article focuses on how poverty has a negative effect on democracy and presents principles of what would be a 'good'democracy.
