The sunbeam snake - Xenopeltis unicolor Reinwardt, 1827 is a vertebrate animals wild species belonging to the Xenopeltidae, Reptilia, Vertebrata. Sunbeam snake is a widely distributed species in the delta of the Mekong river, Vietnam. This article published the results of research on nutrition, growth and ecology of the sunbeam snake under the breeding conditions in Long An province from January 2013 to April 2014. The results showed that sunbeam snake could eat mouse, chick, perch, insect, snail, frog, toad but favorite food are the chicks, mouse, perch... Most of sunbeam snakes work almost at the night. The most suitable temperature range for activity of sunbeam snake is 25 - 30°C and in humidity conditions is 75-95 percent.
