Objective: To evaluate the early results of tissue valve replacement in patients suffered MS-MR. Materials and methods: all patients (72 percent females, 28 percent males) underwent tissue mitral valve replacement surgery in Cho Ray Hospital from January 2011 to June 2013. Results: The characteristics of patients: female patients intend to be pregnant (20 percent), old patients (38 percent), patients in rural area who have difficulties in checking INR regularly (20 percent), patients with high risk of anti-coagualtion (21 percent). There were 89 percent of patients revealed heart failure with NYHA III-IV. After operation there were a good recuperation with decrease of NYHA III-IV to 14,7 percent. PAPs and LV-diameters had well recoverd. Conclusion: Tissue mitral-valves have widely used for variety of patients such as young female patients intend to be pregnant, old patients (over 60ys) as well as patients having high risks of anticoagulation. Early results: Good-fair result 96 percent, moderate result 3 percent, bad result 1 percent.
