SSR molecular markers are common application in breeding, mapping of useful genes, genetic mapping, researching population and linkage genetics. In this study, the authors analyzed nucleotide sequences SSR fragment which related gene encoding ACC oxidase - enzyme involves in the synthesis of ethylene as a basis for teas breeding. Results nucleotide sequence analysis showed the difference in repeat motif GA in research tea samples. Motif GA is repeated in three studying samples belong to interrupted group by a few base not under structural motif. Specifically, the motif repeated in Trung Du tea samples M16 is (GA)14TA(GA)3G(GA)7GCAATG(GA)2 and M18 is (GA)7TA(GA)3G(GA)7GCAATG(GA)2
The motif in Phuc Van Tien tea is: (GA)9 T AAA(GA)2G(GA)7GCAATG(GA)2 Compare GA repeat motif of the studying samples to tea samples from Indian shown that SSR fragment has low repeatability and continuity in Indian teas (GA)9. This result indicates GA motif repeats are polymorphic in tea.
