The study results showed that marine fisheries Ben Tre province has 7 main occupation. Effective exploitation of the trawl fleet below 90 CV was low, reaching 6 percent of total production in the province, but accounted for 30.66 percent of the vessels and 15.63 percent the exploiting labor of the province. Squid fishing using light in recent years to reduce the number of ships and labor, due to low economic efficiency. The average income was the highest vessels group 35 -90 CV (4,695 million VND/person/fishing trip), the lowest was vessels group 250 - 400 CV (3,567 million VND/person/fishing trip). 64 percent of survey vessels tend to switch jobs.
