In the context of economic integration with the complicated evolution of the world economy, in addition to the explosion and rapid development of science and technology, especially the industrial revolution 4.0 has been change the world everyday. The capture and management of enterprise resources is the problem that is more concerned than ever. Business management activities will be more effective if the business processes are clearly understood. Based on the theoretical study of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) - Information system for enterprise resource planning and BPM (Bussiness Process Management) - Business process management, the article focuses on giving some Basic comparison between these two issues. At the same time, the article also provides some "specific directions in improving ERP based on BPM platform, in order to better improve ERP implementation at the enterprise.Trong bối cảnh hội nhập kinh tế với sự diễn biến phức tạp của nền kinh tế thế giới, thêm vào đó là sự bùng nổ và phát triển vượt bậc của khoa học công nghệ, đặc biệt là cuộc cách mạng công nghiệp 4.0 đã và đang thay đổi thế giới hàng ngày. Việc nắm bắt và quản trị được các nguồn lực của doanh nghiệp là bài toán được quan tâm hơn bao giờ hết. Hoạt động quản lý doanh nghiệp sẽ hiệu quả hơn nếu nắm bắt được rõ các quy trình nghiệp vụ. Trên cơ sở nghiên cứu lý thuyết về ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) - Hệ thống thông tin hoạch định nguồn lực doanh nghiệp và BPM (Bussiness Process Management) - Quản trị quy trình hoạt động kinh doanh, bài viết tập trung đưa ra một số so sánh cơ bản giữa hai vấn đề này. Đồng thời, bài viết cũng đưa một sô" định hướng cụ thể trong việc cải tiến ERP dựa trên nền tảng BPM, nhằm cải thiện tốt hơn việc triển khai ERP tại doanh nghiệp.
