Knowledge and practices of health worker is one of the factors that determine effectiveness of the management and disposal of medical wastes in hospital. According to a survey by the World Bank in 2004, the rate of health workers compliance practices of waste management is limited. Object of this study: Situation knowledge and practice of health worker in the collection, sorting, transport and disposal of medical waste in hospitals of traditional medicine. Subjects of study: nursing, nurse, nurses, doctors and pharmacists in all clinical, subclinical faculty. This study was conducted at 10 hospitals of traditional medicine represents provincial regions. Research Methodology: The research was conducted by described cross- sectional method and analysis. Conclusion: Health workers misunderstand some contents as: distinguished 5 groups of medical waste identify colors codes and symbol for different instrument collection waste. The errors collection, classification still occur, 47.1 percent doctors and 32.8 percent nurses misclassification recycling waste
