This article discussed the value orientation of dwellers in crafts villages in Hanoi suburbs. The author analysed value orientation formed during the working process, value orientation in communication, value orientation of individuals, and the ideal self of dwellers in craft villages. The author also found factors influencing value orientation and the trend of value orientation of dwellers in crafts villages
thus suggesting psychological educational interventions to enhance dwellers' value orientation towards promoting an integration of traditional values and market economy and international integration.
