The experimental study of long span prestressed ferro cement channel bridges modeled by structural analysis sofwares show that the use of prestressed for ferro cement channel bridges reduces significantly the deflection of the channel bridges, the tension stress at the bottom of the channel bridges, and the compression stress at the parapet of the channel bridges. For verifying the bearing capacity of the channel bridges, the author conducts experiments with normal 12 meters span length ferro cement channel bridge samples, 12 meters span length and 18 meters span length prestressed ferro cement channel bridge samples. The results show that the bearing capacity of the prestressed ferro cement channel bridges is much better than the normal ones, and that results match the result modeled by structural analysis sofwares.
