For the first time, four natural compounds ftom ethyl acetate extract of the root of Cassia grandis L.f including (+) Iyoniresinol (1), D-manitol (2), vanillic acid (3) and lupeol (4) have been isolated. Their structures were elucidated by MS, NMR spectra and comparison with published data.
