For evaluating the influence of mixing process on properties of NR/EPDM blends, six mixing procedures were carried out. Based on determining the ingredients solubility parameters and rubbers viscosity, the migration and distribution of curatives in rubber phases were analyzed and evaluated qualitatively for each procedure. Mechanical properties and kinetics of vulcanization of blends show a good accordance of experimental data with theoretical prediction.
