This was a community based controlled interventional study within 12 months. Interventions induded:communication, periodic health check up, dietary supplements dam on (40 g dams /2 meals per week for normal children and 120 grams of clams / 6 meals/week for stunting child) at kitchens of kindergartens for 366 children aged 25-48 months old (there were 421 children at control group). Results showed that: The rate of stunting malnutrition of control group was reduced by 2.3 percent while this rate of the intervention group was decreased by 10.4 percent (p 0.01). The incidence of stunting of the control group was 5.0 percent which was 3.0 percent higher than that of intervention group. The rate of recovery of the control group was 7.4 percent which was 13.4 percent lower than in the intervention group (p 0.05). The effect of intervention among stunted children in the control group was 7.1 percent which was lower than that of intervention group (30.4 percent) (p 0.05). The effect of the intervention among children aged 25-36 months was higher than among children aged 37-48 months, and the effect of the intervention was also higher among girls as compared to boys.
