Objectives: evaluate the results of 20 primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) performed in patients with history of Legg-Perthes-Calve disease (LCPD) in Viet Duc University Hospital. Subjects and Methods: THA were perfomed in 20 patients who had hip osteoarthritis with history of LCPD. Results: The functional results, according to the rating scale of Merle d'AubignD, were rated as excellent in 85 percent, very good in 10 percent and poor in 5 percent of the patients. One patient was revised the cup and one patient developed sciatic nerve palsy. Conclusion: THA in patients who had sequelae of LCPD is possible with reduced pain and improved hip function.
