Group study included 63 mortal patients, control group induded 71 alive patients were diagnosed spontaneous supratentorial hemorrhage, volume of hematoma or = 30 cm3 requiring mechanical ventilation at stroke centre at No.108 Military Central Hospital. Purpose: Study dinical and paraclinical characteristics of fatal supratentorial hemorrhagic sroke patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Methods: Prospective observational study. Results: Male (67 percent), female (33 percent). Age 60 years 52,4 percent, 61-70 years 23.8 percent, 71-80 years 14.3 percent, 80 years 9,5 percent. Admission Glasgow score S 8 points accounted for 73.0 percent, Glasgow score at the time of intubation 84.1 percent, neurological deterioration after intubation 63,5 percent, head-eye deviation 77,7 percent, enlarged pupil in one or tow side 44,4 percent, the patients died within the first 72 hours 60,32 percent. Hypokalemia 66,7 percent, mean hematoma volume 60ml 49,2 percent, blood in ventricles 76,2 percent, blood in subarachnoid cavity 53,9 percent, midline shift or = 1 crn 65,0 percent. Conclusions: Mortality is strictly involved to degree of coma at the time of intubation, neurological deterioration after intubation, enlarged pupil, blood in subarachnoid space, midline shift or = 1 crn.
