Objective: To evaluate the surgical results of laparoscopic transhiatal esophagectomy for lower third cancer. Method: A retro-observational study of 29 patients suffered esophageal cancer and underwent esophagectomy by laparoscoplc esophagectomy from March 2012 to May 2014 basing on prospective data base of Department. Results: A total of 29 males patients with mean age of 52,8 + or - 8,69 years old (3666), conversion rate encountered in 3.4 percent, mean of operatve-time was 219,5 + or - 30.29 mn (180 - 315), quantity of blood-lost: 148,6 + or - 27,61 ml (100-200), post-operative complication rate in 13.8 percent and without mortality. The one-year and two-year over survival rate encountered in 84 percent and 72 percent respectively. Conduslon: Laparoscopic transhiatal esophagectomy may be considered as feasible, safe, effective procedure for treabnent of lower-third esophageal cancer. It could respond the oncological requirements as well.
