Amorphophallus paeoniifolius is currently cultivated in Thua Thien Hue. Time for planting is from April to October every year. The first branch, the second and the third is formed respectively 20,55 and 83 days after the propagation from corm. The growing time of three kinds of branches is respectively 65 days, 87 days and 78 days. The average height of the branches at the time of harvest is about 68cm-96.49cm and the second branch is the highest. The diameter of the second branch is the highest (3.74cm). The length of leaves is from 25.35 to 71.7cm. Amorphophallus paeoniifolius is able to grow and accumulate the organic matter quyckly and give very high yield. The yield of the branches and corm reaches 92 tonnes/ha and 82.8 tonnes/ha respectively. Glucomannan content in the main and supplemental corm is 35.4 percent and 30.7 percent. The main part of Amorphophallus paeoniifofius that is used curently are branch. Corm is only used for propagation and a small part it used for animal feeding. Further research is needed to aprropriately use the corm and increase the value of this plant.
