The essential oil of Litsea eugenoides A. Chev. collected from Bachma National Park was isolated by steam distillation to give oil yield of 0.15 percent and 0.1 percent. They were analyzed using Capillary GC and GC/MS. The authors have identified 55 chemical compounds in leaves, and 11 in branches, which respectively accounted for 97.30 percent and 99.87 percent the total amount of essential oil. The major constituents of the oil appeared to be inonene (25.10-35.44 percent), alpha-phellandrene (11.99-16.00 percent), o-cymene (7.49-10.67 percent) and (E)-beta-ocimene , (6.33-10.78 percent).
