Tóm tắt

There are about 13-16 individuals of Asian Elephant in Nghe An province. They distribute in 3 protected areas including: Pu Mat National Park, Pu Huong Nature Reseve and Pu Hoat Nature Reseve. Total of 3 groups with 11 individuals is recorded in Pu Mat Nationnal Park (one in North-East, one in center and one in South-East of the park), 1-3 individuals recorded in Pu Huong Nature Reseve and 1-3 idividuals recorded in Pu Hoat Nature Reseve. Human-elephant conflict happens only in Pu Mat National Park at serious extend and caused lots of damage for local people. The total economic loss caused by elephant counted in money was 500 milion VND.
