Survey results in waters of Nha Phu - Binh Cang indicated that environmental jactors of water varied strongly, and were suitable for oyster culture. However. some factors n'ere over the threshold of the oyster. For example, salinity could be go down 3 percent0 in the upper of Nha Phu, whereas the natural foods (0.05 pg/l of Chlorophyll-a and 0.39 mg/l of detritus) were lower than the requite condition of filtered capacity of oyster, Because these events were exited in the water bodies in the short time, the growth oyster was not able to be strongly impacted. By principal component ana(vsis approach of environmental variables, Nha Phu - Binh Cang waters were divided into three regions. The first region, located at the upper region of Nha Phu lagoon, was medium, level of sustainable development for oyster culture but reducing low salinity in rainy season was negatively irnpacted on the oysters. The second region. located in between the lagoon and Binh Cang bay, was high level of sustainable development for oyster culture with rich natural food as well as healthy environment. The last region. in the off Binh Cang bay. was limited food. so it could not suitable for oyster culture. In conclusion. although having negative impacts of environmental quality and natural food for oyster, water bodies of Nha Phu - Binh Cang was able to culture oyster sustainably.
