Hard clam, cockle, crab and mudskipper are valuable commercial species, which are the target species of the farmers in the Mekong delta, especially in Tra Vinh province. They are promising species in the coatal areas, especially in the context of global climate change. Based on the field data and research results in Tra Vinh coastal waters from 2008 to 2010, using suitable methods, in this paper the authors introduced and analysed some technical, economic and management solutions for the development and protection of these 4 species, which are of high commercial value in both the inland and export markets. This paper focused on the exchange of methodology and feasible socio-economic, scientific and technological solutions for the protection and development of Vietnamese tropical marine resources.
