Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of RTls solutions of mountainous women in Thanh Cong commune, Pho Yen district, Thai Nguyen province after 2 years of intervention. Subjects and methods: An intervention study with a control group and pre-post evaluations was conducted among mountainous women at reproductive age in Thanh Cong commune, Pho Yen district, Thai Nguyen province. Results: After 02 years of intervention: In the intervention commune: the percentage of women with good knowledge, attitude and practice about RTls prevention increased to 85.5 percent
96.0 percent and 43.0 percent
respectively. The percentage of women using hygiene water and hygiene bathroom increased to 94.5 percent and 67.0 percent
respectively. The percentage of women's satisfaction with medical examination and counseling about RTls at commune health station increased to 94.5 percent and 98.5 percent
respectively. The changes before after intervention were statistically significant in intervention commune. The changes in control commune were not statistically significant. Prevalence of RTIs decreased to 12.5 percent in intervention commune (p 0.05) and 30.5 percent in control commune (p 0.05), related to before intervention. Conclusion: The community - based model on RTIs prevention in Thanh Cong commune has high effective.
