The study was carried out for isolation, evaluation of Bacillus spp., which could inhibit the growth of fungal pathogents causing damping off disease of brinjal (Phomopsis vexans and Fusarium solam). Bacillus spp.were isolated from the soil of vegetable fields of Hochiminh City, and then evaluated the antagonistic interaction between them with Phomopsis vexans {Po vexans} and Fusarium solani (F. solani). The potential isolates which could prevent the growth of fungal pathogents were identificated by the molecular biotechnique. As a result, 100 Bacillus spp. were isolated from 46 collected soil samples. In which, 5 isolates 8A13, 8D16, 8G4, 8G8 and BG18 were selected because of their effective antagonism against both pathogents. Result of identification of these isolates showed that the isolates 8A13, 8D16 and 8G8 had the same ogriginal dassification with Bacillus subtilis {B. subtilis}, the isolates 8G18 and 8G4 were Bacillus tequilensis {B. tequilensis}. These isolates can be used for biocontroling the damping off and other diseases caused by P. vexans and F. solani.
