In recent years, the concept "quality of life" emerged as an important outcome measure of medical treatment, especially for patients with chronic, incurable disorders or cancer. After some authors, quality of life plays such an important role, equal to "quantity of life" index (e.g. overall survival, disease-free survival rate, response and complication rates. ..). The aim of this review article was to give a general outlook about health-related quality of life and its role in treatment of laryngeal cancer patients.
