With the sense in building the independent culture of the independent nation, Nguyen Trai was the first man using Vietnamese in creating literary works. To write absolutely typical Nom verses being suitable with the way of expression as well as aesthetic views of Vietnamese, Nguyen Trai used a lot of of functional words, especially oral functional words. He did not coqcem that people might think his poems were cloddish.
