Ha Giang is a mountainous province in the northern border of Vietnam with an area of 7914.9 km2. It has the residence of 22 ethnic groups. This is one of the most complex terrain of Vienam. This territory play very important role for strategic position in Social-Economic development, national security and foreign policy. Ha Giang is a land of great potential for tourism, especially for the development of eco-tourism. Dong Van Plateau is a large area consisting of 4 rocky highland districts, with many tourist potential such as unique terrain types. It is recognized as Global Geoparks in October 2010. This will be a very important conditions for the development of sustainable ecotourism of the province in future.
