Results of the study on some physiological characteristics and reproductive perfonnance of Thailands wild pig, local pig and their hybrids showed that the reproductive indicators of the 3 types of pigs are lower than that of most other indigenous swine breeds. Thailand wild males pigs, local pigs and their hybrids (F1), first estrus cycle later than that of the local improved breed, age at first farrowing from 324-340 days, time return to the next oestrus cycle after weaning was 13.39 to 24.70 days and farrowing interval was from 187.28 to 199.02 days. Reproductive perfonnance of local pigs was higher than that of F1 pigs and Thailand wild pigs. The productivity of Thailand wild pigs reared in Ngan Son, Sac Kan, was stable and comparable to those of other areas. This showed that they have high adaptability. The offspring (F1) between Thailand wild boar and local sow has reproductive perfonnance higher than that of Thailand wild pigs, but lower than that of the local pigs.
