Tóm tắt

The study was based on the data collected trom the penal data survey implemented in twelve representative provinces on the seven ecological regions of Vietnam and the data trom the in-depth studies with the 330 farmer households sampled trom 6 selected provinces representing 5 subecological areas of Mekong River Delta. The linear probability response models were used to determine the impacts of weather risks on the incomes of the farmer households and the effects of applying several climate change response measures on the poverty vulnerability of the farmers. The analytical results show that the poor household group was most impacted by the natural risks and therefore so their poverty vulnerability. By applying proactive measures to cope with climate change impacts such as changing crop and animal varieties and changing crop and animal raising patterns towards more resilient to climate and natural risks was contributed significantly to mitigate income losses and therefore to mitigate poverty vulnerability of farmers who have been faced with negative of climate change impacts.
