In pile design, the evaluation of interactions between piles and ground is essential, especially for soft soil or pile charging by a large load because of the impact of pile negative friction phenomena appeared. Therefore, the consideration and taking into account negative friction component in calculating the pile bearing capacity is a demand. This research presents a method
of determining the negative friction in pile bearing capacity and measures to minimize the negative impact of such friction by accelerating consolidation of soft soil or reduce soil-pile friction.
