This research has computed and studied the absorption function for the anisotropic material into in stress measurement using x-ray diffraction. The anisotropic material was calculated by Vbigt, Reuss and Eshelby-Kroner models. The cold-rolled ferrite steel (211) plane using Cr-Ka radiation was simulated for fixed P and Po methods. The simulation result shows that azimuth angle cp in Voigt, Reuss model doesn't affect to absorption function but it largely influence to the absorption function in Eshelby-Kroner model. In three models, the absorption function increases when diffraction angle 28 goes up. In contrast, it goes down when polar angles P and Po increase. Analysis of the simulation result shows that the Eshelby-Kroner give the closer result to the experimental data in comparison to those from the Voigt and Reuss models.
