Recently, keloid has been a common disease in the ear (both helix and earlobes). There were many keloid therapeutic modalities such as pressure, silicone gel, surgery, radiotherapy, corticosteroids (injection triamcinolone) and laser, but the treatment of keloide remained difficult. Objective: This study applied new therapies in the treatment of ear keloid, which was CO2 laser surgery to take out nodular fibroids in combination with local triamcinolone injection. Subject and method: A self-reported prospective study was conducted on 22 patients. Result: The age range was from 13 to 56, including 2 men and 20 women with a total of 27 scars. There were 10 scars in the helix and 17 scars in the earlobe. The result of treatment was relatively satisfactory, in which good results achieved up to 45.5 percent of the patients (particularly in the earlobe keloids, 76.4 percent was good results) while the rate of recurrence was only 22.7 percent of the patients. Conclusion: The advantages of this method are rapid wound healing and aesthetic ear shapes.
