Human resource is the deciding factor enables medical facilities to fulfill the requirements of assigned tasks. Assessment of the status of human resources in Health Center is a essential work for the operation of medical facilities in the future. Research methodology: cross-sectional description, retrospective data collected from the Health center district, Thai Nguyen province in 2013 to assess the situation of human resources. The study results showed that the number of medical staff lacking in both quantity and quality: The total number of health workers in district health is 245. 4/9 district health centers have the actual number of personnel standards than the minimum level, no district health center staff that has actually met the maximum number of officers as required. Staff structure according to the department of preventive medicine is not appropriate and professional division which exceeds the level (reaching 116.7 percent), unit tests do not meet the norms prescribed (only 26.5 percent). The structure according to professional staff in preventive medicine physician ratio exceeds 114.3 percent compared with provisions. In contrast test technicians only 52 percent.
