The objectives of the study were to describe the traditional clinical classifications of the stage I, II, IliA breast cancer patients who are treated by AC therapy at the K hospital from 10/2010 to 8/2011 and evaluate the impact of "Thap toan dai bo" remedy on the supportive treatment for stage I, II, IIIA breast cancer patients who are treated by AC therapy. The results showed that the proportion of "Khi huyet luong hu" is highest (62.7 percent), followed by "Can khi uat ket" (21.8 percent) and "Nhiet doc uan ket" (10.9 percent). The proportion of the stage II patients who have 1 - 3 ganglions metastasis is highest. About the reduction of clinical toxicities, the vomited toxicity, anorexia toxicity, diarrhea toxicity are lower than controll group and have statistically significant (p 0.05)
the nausea toxicity is low but it does not have statistically significant (p 0.05)
alopecia toxicity is occurred in both the groups. About subclinical toxicities, the reduced leukocyte, hemoglobin
increased AST, ALT are lower than control group and have statistically significant (p 0.05)
the nephrotoxicity was not recorded in both of the groups. In conclusion, "Thap toan dai bo" remedy reduced some of the AC therapy's toxicities on stage I, II, IIIA breast cancer patients.
