The analysis of the impact of climate change on the likelihood of the residents of Hoi An in this Section is focused on the currents issues. Three types of geo-hazards have been analyzed and the link with climate change has also been explored. It shows that these geo-hazards affect negatively to the livelihood of the Hoi An city, especially those who are in their 'hot-spots'. Despite of efforts by the local government and residents themselves, much has to done to improve the effectiveness of adaptation and mitigation measures. For the future of Hoi An, the economic transformation that is taking place may alter the likelihood of the residents from agriculture-dependent to more on industrial and service. The impact of these geo-hazards may be different but their scope and exposure should be taken into master plan to ensure that this risk is well taken into development consideration.
