Eye tracking is a high reliability method that allows researchers to identify, quantify visual focus objectively and automatically. Schizophrenic patients often exhibit unusual behavioral manifestations including disorders of the visual focus. The study was conducted on 60 people (aged from 20 to 30 years old), who were divided into 2 groups. The control group: 30 normal people. Schizophrenia group: 30 schizophrenic patients. The eye activities were recorded by the camera connected to computer then signals were analyzed and calculated automatically by visual scanpath software to calculate eye movement and eye fixation. Results on normal subjects and psychiatric patients showed there were some differences in eye movement and eye fixation between the two groups, when looking at the visual stimulus (human face and human facial form images). The results of this study, the first step that can be applied for technical assistance in the diagnosis, treatment in schizophrenic patients.
