Portland cement is the most popular and important construction material nowadays. Since its invention in 1824, Portland cement has had much progress in manufacturing technology and quality. One of the most interesting topic relevant to Portland cement that has attracted many researchers' interest is finding the solution for enhancing strength of Portland cement, especially strength in early age (1,3,7 days). The purpose of this work is to investigate the effect of triisopropannolamine (TIPA) on early strength of Portland cement. Results reveal that early strength of Portland cement can be increased by adding triisopropannolamine (TIPA): + With amount of 0,005-0,025 percent triisopropannolamine (TIPA), early strength of Portland cement can be increased about 10-20 percent. + With amount of 0,00002-0,00010 percent triisopropannolamine (TIPA), early strength of Portland cement can be increased about 6-15 percent. In comparison to literature, scientific novelty of the research is investigating at a very small amount of triisopropannolamine (TIPA).
