In this paper, the authors present the results of a study of the ant biodiversity in Ba Vi National Park, Hanoi. A total of 50 ant species belonging to 31 genera and 5 subfamilies (Cerapachyinae, Dolichoderinae, Formicinae, Myrmicinae and Ponerinae) was collected. Five genera (Ochetellus. Lasius, Leptothorax, Messor, Amplyopone) and at least 9 species were recorded for the first time for the study area. The Shannon-Weiner index (H'), Fisher index (a), .Margalef index (d) and Simpson index (C) were calculated for each ant community of the planted and disturbed forests. The biodiversity of the ant community in the planted forest was higher than the one in the disturbed forest.
